Five Minute Walk
This project was meant to be a short walk anywhere with our cameras to capture the most interesting aspects of our surroundings. For me however, it more of a walk down memory lane, or should I say hall. In the collage below, I ventured back in time to my middle school with my digital camera to capture old memories and cool objects. To make these few pictures look their best, I put them into Photoshop to crop, resize, and change the contrast and brightness of all of the original shots.
Panograph
For this particular project, much like a panorama we had to capture an entire scene. The difference? Instead of one continuous shot from left to right, we took many zoomed in pictures of a widespread area. In the end, they were all imported into the computer, and one by one I pieced them together to re create the corner of my old elementary school. As you may be able to see, on the edges of the image, you can see the pictures overlapping, and that is because they are all slightly transparent.
A Picture in a Picture
This project had two parts; one included a physical photo held in front of where it was taken in present day (shown on the right), and a second one involving a picture frame that was digitally altered on the inside of the frame to make it different from the outside (on the left).I had a lot of fun shooting the digitally remastered one, my friend helped take the pictures, while i changed from a fun, party outfit (unicorn head included), to a scary dark figure. To make sure the two scenes had enough contrast, i made the inside a high contrasted black and white, and bumped up contrast on the outside.
For the physical photo, I took a picture of me five years ago making calzone in my grandparent's kitchen. Since they don't live very far from me, it was easy to find the photo, as well as return to the location.

Big Thing, Small World.
Yet another project that required more than one original photo. To achieve the look that the soda can is many times larger than the mailbox as well as its actual size, I had to take a total of eleven shots to capture the right angles. The two outer photos, are the two I started with. To move the can to the street, I made a selection f just the can and dragged it into the other photo. From there, shadows were added and edges were blurred.

This being one of my favorite projects of the year, I am very pleased with how it turned out. My inspiration for this project was myself, actually, because I'm always drumming with my fingers. Since I actually do play the drums and have drum sticks, I took a picture of my friends hand, and morphed it with multiple shots of my drumsticks. For the sticks to match the shape of her fingers, I used the warped tool, and also used a low opacity eraser to make it look like the sticks are part of her hand.
